Everything that is present in an adult human is now present in the small embryo. Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet and his eyelids practically cover his eyes. Breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs. The brain and spinal cord are growing from the neural tube, a ridge along your baby's back. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. Your baby is about 1 inch long and is the size of a bean.
