Manthas New Arrival - Bumples

Hi Manthas' DH here, (she tells me that means dearest husband, but I'm not convinced ).
Mantha gave birth to a strapping 10pound 4onz and 60cm long bruiser at precisely 08.45 sunday morning (western oz time ).
It was not without it's concerns, after having a show at 05.30, her waters broke over the kitchen tiles at 06.00, but the waters were green and pooey, we rang the midwife and she said she was coming straight over and we would have to get to hospital quick. As we were expecting a home birth we hadn't packed a bag and we were both in a panick. when she arrived she checked Mantha and she was 8cm dilated and wasn't going anywhere, so i filled the birth pool as quick as. Mantha relaxed when In the pool and the baby (we haven't a name yet) entered the world quite smoothly soon after. All going good until time for the placenta to come out, but it wasn,t happening and sam was losing a bit of blood. We had to call an ambulance and Mantha was rushed off to hospital where they had a hard job removing the placenta. I took the baby down soon after and they are both still there, Mantha has had an iron transfusion and is feeling pretty weak, and the baby has had a few breathing problems and was in the special care unit for a day on antibiotics (may have inhaled some melconium). Hoping they come home tomorrow)

Wow not too long at all!! Congrats to you both!! A scary time for you both glad everything is ok.
Hope Mantha is recovering well!
